2ND SHIFT SUPERVISOR
General Summary of Responsibilities:Responsible for maintaining the safety, quality, cost, work order completion, flow of materials, and improvement of assigned work centers. Directly responsible for supervising production assemblers / operators, Leads, and Team Captains.
Job Duties:- Maintain safe working conditions. Ensure a safe workplace by making sure that proper Personal Protective Equipment is worn, work instructions are followed, ability to provide first aid/CPR, and that proper paperwork is completed in case of an accident.
- To maintain the quality of CDI products and adjust processes settings as necessary to assure that components and finished goods meet specifications. Ensure quality of work meets the quality standard and work is done correctly the first time.
- Train employees and temporary workers to work instructions on how to set up and run production equipment to make products. Ensure the work instructions are followed daily.
- Schedule and direct factory personnel in order to improve department run rates and company gross profit.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of assigned work cells and personal work area in order to maintain high quality and efficient work place.
- Be able to lift a minimum of 50lbs throughout an 8 hour shift.
- Must be able to operate a forklift for receiving of raw materials and stocking the production lines as needed.
- Employee performance reviews are to be completed on time to provide employees with timely information regarding their performance.
- Demonstrates ability to supervise a variety of employees to provide all employees with a professional and productive working atmosphere.
- Able to fully participate in employee selection process such as interviewing as well as disciplinary process to maintain high employee performance and effectiveness.
Education, Skills and Abilities:- Up-to-date First-Aid/CPR
- Minimum of 4 years in a light manufacturing environment
- Minimum of 4 years experience, preferably in a culturally diverse work environment
- Preferred knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Kanban
- Computer Experience - Word and Excel
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment with ESL employees.
- Must have excellent leadership, problem solving, and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to handle / manage multiple tasks, functions, priorities
- Strong mechanical, organization and communication skills
- Ability to operate heavy equipment, production equipment, forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks
- Ability to assist other members of management in other building locations

MARKETING COORDINATOR
General Summary of Responsibilities:The Marketing Coordinator helps ensure the effective and timely delivery of top class marketing for Cascade Designs. This is achieved by working with the guidance of the Division Marketing Director to develop project plans in support of key division marketing objectives. The Coordinator will then participate in a cross-functional team of internal employees and external vendors to execute the projects. Many projects are global in scope.
Job Duties:- This is a project-based position lasting roughly 5 months; employment is with a 3rd party agency, not Cascade Designs.
- Project Execution:
Set up projects in project management system (At Task)
Participate in team meetings
Coordinate project tasks across a wide range of internal and external team members
Execute own tasks related to project
Monitor timelines and budgets to ensure adherence to plan
Analyze project performance results / metrics and report back to Division Marketing Director
- Project Planning:
Help develop project plans for a wide range of initiatives including packaging, merchandising/POP, collateral, advertising, PR/events, and web.
Work with Division Marketing Director to establish goals
Prepare project briefs, budget & timeline to achieve the optimal approach
- Divisional Marketing Planning:
Support the Division Marketing Director in the development of division marketing strategies & plans
Assist with analysis to understand market and consumer trends
Assist Division Marketing Director with development of, and reporting on, annual divisional marketing budget
Education, Skills and Abilities:- Three to five years of experience related to consumer product marketing (previous outdoor, bike and/or action sports-industry experience a plus).
- Previous experience executing a wide-range of marketing projects, as identified above
- Effective in cross-functional team environment
- Excellent oral and written communications skills
- Strong analytical skills, including budgeting and analysis of retail POS data
- Global marketing experience desired, but not required
- BA/BS or equivalent experience

SEASONAL- CUSTOMER SERVICE REPAIR TECH
General Summary of Responsibilities:Receive, log, repair, and/or replace customer returned products. Provide excellent service to customers that contact us on the 800 lines, by web-site, e-mail, and/or walk into the factory
Job Duties:- On a daily basis, open boxes containing returned products and log customer information into repair program.
- Repair products and test the repairs before sending back to the customer.
- Contact customer regarding their product if it cannot be repaired and is
not covered under warranty policy for replacement options.
- Replace any products that cannot be repaired under the warranty policy.
- Deliver verbal and written responses to customer’s questions.
- Work with walk-in customers regarding warranty/repair of their product.
- Organize inventory of parts and re-order as necessary for repairing product.
Education, Skills and Abilities:- Must be able to perform repetitive motion tasks
- Verbal and written skills in English.
- Pleasant, courteous and efficient manner.
- Ability to have excellent customer service approach.
- Capacity to communicate effectively with a broad spectrum of dealers, reps, and consumers on a wide range of issues.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office 2010 Software such as Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Previous employment in the outdoor industry related to customer services and/or retail.
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent, some college preferred
