TOOL AND DIE MAKER II
General Summary of Responsibilities:Responsible for the design, documentation, machining, assembly, troubleshooting, and maintenance of prototype and production tools and dies including complex progressive and compound stamping and forming dies. Works closely with Engineering, Product Development, and Manufacturing to provide technical guidance and support in the design and manufacture of new or existing components. Sets up, programs, and operates CNC and conventional machine shop equipment including lathes, mills, and Wire EDM.
Job Duties:- Designs and documents complex, high production, metal stamping and forming tools, including progressive dies.
- Sets up, programs and operates conventional and CNC metalworking equipment including lathes, mills, and wire EDM.
- Machines metal parts and tooling components to precise tolerances.
- Disassembles, troubleshoots, maintains, and repairs, complex stamping and forming tools including progressive dies.
- Consults with engineers and product designers as an integral part of the development team to help solve technical problems and determine best methods.
- Attends project team meetings to maintain communication, share information, and keep team informed of progress and schedule issues.
- Occasional domestic and international travel is required.
Education, Skills and Abilities:- 2 year vocational/technical degree or completion of formal apprenticeship in Tool and Die Making.
- Minimum of 8 years working experience in a manufacturing environment making production and prototype tools and dies.
- Ability to design and document punching, forming, and progressive dies used to produce complex metal components
- Ability to set-up, program, and operate CNC machine tools including wire EDM to produce complex machined components to very precise tolerances.
- High level of Proficiency with SolidWorks (CAD) and MasterCam.
- Comprehensive knowledge of industrial materials and processes used in manufacturing and metalworking including selection and heat-treating of tool steels.
- Ability to manage multiple demands and shifting priorities in a dynamic, rapidly changing environment.
- Competency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Project.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Must provide own tools of the trade.

MAINTENANCE ELECTRICIAN
General Summary of Responsibilities:This position is synonymous with a Commercial Journeyman Electrician and
requires a Journeyman’s Electrician 01 Card. The position installs, repairs and troubleshoots any and all electrical distribution and controls up to and including, production and non-production equipment as needed. Serves as Maintenance Electrician with a focus on producing a quality product to schedule and is responsible for the day-to-day repair and maintenance of all CDI equipment with a focus on electrical distribution and control systems. As a team member, maintains an active role in improving manufacturing efficiency, communication, team building and cooperation. Accountable for machine down time.
Job Duties:- Provides support for production line problems.
- Maintains equipment controls including relay logic, temp controls and plc's.
- Provides support for facilities wiring.
- Repairs production equipment.
- Builds control systems for rebuilt or new equipment.
- Performs mechanical fabrication and machining of parts and assemblies.
Education, Skills and Abilities:- High School Diploma, GED, or Equivalent
- Washington State Journeyman Electrician License 01
- Ability to work from electrical schematics and ladder logic.
- Working knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical, plumbing, and electrical systems.
- Thorough knowledge of electrical codes including NEC and UL regulations.
- Ability to read and work from blueprints.
- Basic computer skills including MS Outlook and Office
- Must provide own tools of the trade.

MECHANIC TECHNICIAN III
General Summary of Responsibilities:Serves as an expert in production maintenance with a focus on producing a quality product to schedule. Constructs, maintains and tests mechanical equipment, machinery and components. Identifies parts or machines that need new parts or need to be replaced and places orders as necessary. Has the ability to creatively find solutions to keep production lines running. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Will regularly lead and direct the work of others. A Substantial degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
Job Duties:- Works independently or leads others in troubleshooting and repairing a broad variety of industrial equipment and manufacturing machinery.
- Builds new complex equipment from drawings and blueprints (Fabrication, machining, controls, etc.)
- Performs preventive maintenance on equipment and is able to demonstrate to lower level employees.
- Maintains Company Vehicles.
- Maintains forklifts
Education, Skills and Abilities:- 2 year technical degree, apprenticeship or equivalent experience.
- 6+ years experience in industrial maintenance.
- Analytical, troubleshooting, and problem solving skills necessary to effectively diagnose and repair complex manufacturing and industrial equipment.
- Broad knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, plumbing, and electrical systems.
- Must be able to read and work from complex blue prints
- Welding, fabrication and machining skills.
- Able to read and work from electrical schematics and ladder logic.
- Knowledge of PLC and industrial controls from a maintenance perspective. Ability to follow, interpret, and troubleshoot PLC programs.
- Ability to communicate effectively with production employees, engineers, and plant managers.

TEXTILE DEVELOPER
General Summary of Responsibilities:Develop novel textiles for use in Outdoor Sporting Goods, Military and Medical applications. Position would provide written specifications and laboratory reports defining textiles and other materials needed to fabricate products. Obtain and conduct outside funded R&D projects.
Job Duties:- On a corporation wide basis and upon the request of a director level position of higher, investigate solutions to needs for new product development in all facets of the textile industry: Woven, nonwovens, knits, including coated, laminated, dyed, finished, etc.
- Conduct laboratory analysis of candidate textiles using both industry standard and CDI propriety test methods.
- Write clear textile specifications that are executable by suppliers.
- Assist the purchasing and QA departments with vendor evaluations, vendor capability studies and with evaluating vendor past performance.
- Help engineers and designers identify polymeric films, coatings, and resins appropriate for their product designs and that are suitable for existing and proposed processes.
- Write research proposals for the development of specialty textiles and their related applications.
- Be able to communicate technical concepts in both oral presentation and well documented written form for external and internal customers.
- Assist with record keeping, contracts, and billing on funded research projects.
- Assist and advise on the preparation of textile samples and of experimental products into which they are to be incorporated.
- Travel up to several times per year to tour suppliers, to sell proposed projects and present research results.
- Analyze returned products to determine failure mode and make recommendations for remediation.
Education, Skills and Abilities:- A BS Degree in textile or materials science, engineering or chemistry. Advanced degree preferred.
- Five years related work experience in the textile industry. Development work experience preferred.
- The ability to work effectively with a wide variety of coworkers, customers, vendors, and associates.
- Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and to work under pressure.
- Demonstrates superior technical writing and presentation skills.
