"Great addition to my reactor stove! The Reactor Coffee Press made backcountry life a little bit more comfortable with fresh pressed coffee! No more instant packets of doom and gloom!"
"Just used it over birthday week fishing at 8300 ft lake in Utah. It makes great coffee easier than my Keurig at home"
"Beats my Moca pot for weight savings and works great for backcountry coffee."
"Does not press down all the way."
"I do my fair share of back country hiking and multiple day canoe trips. I also crave good coffee. The Reactor Coffee Press allows me to enjoy a great cup of coffee no matter where life takes me. Great product, I high recommend it."
"I’ve had a couple chances to use my MSR Reactor Stove and Reactor Coffee Press in the field. Making my meals on the back of my truck tailgate on a recent fishing trip to Minersville lake in Utah my stove and coffee press worked great. I had great hot coffee every morning. Clean up was quick and easy. Thanks MSR for another great product! Frank"
"It wasn't until I had pressed my first coffee in this until I found that there was no way to pour it out! I guess I have an older version of the reactor, and newer versions appear to have a strainer built into the lid. Without this, there is no way to pour the coffee. This is very disappointing; I wish I had have read the reviews here before purchasing, as it appears I'm not the only one who has had this problem. I assumed it was compatible with all 1.7L reactors, as it didn't state anywhere in the description that it isn't."
"I must have a gen 1 reactor? I’ve had this trusty piece of kit a long time (maybe 15 years ish) so I finally found a need for the French press. I purchased this and enthusiastically brewed my first pot. Only one thing… there isn’t the holes in the lid as advertised and it’s extremely awkward to pour out a little hole while it leaks out the rim if the lid also. The French press is very smooth and brewed terrific nectar from the gods. But the experience was a mess :("
"I purchased the coffee press attachment earlier this season and am very impressed. This is my preferred method of making coffee whether I am base camping, car camping or backpacking due to its portability and ability to make coffee for the entire group. I really love that the coffee press attachment can be stored inside the put with the stove and fuel. I use the 1.7L system and would highly recommend this for couples and for groups up to four people. You can check out my video on my Youtube channel Lone Crow Adventures for a detailed look at this system."
"I love this stove, but this accessory needs some work. The rubber seel has become mishaped over the years and has never worked as good as a real french press. Can't poor with plunger and rod in place. I would suggest MSR take note from other french presses and incorporate them into this accessory. I'm gonna buy a separate french presses that is light weight ."
