Warranty & Repair FAQ
What’s Covered Under Our Warranty?
Platypus takes pride in offering the highest-quality camp products and we stand behind every piece of gear that we make. We offer a Limited Lifetime Warranty on all products. Warranty coverage is extended only to original purchasers and purchases from authorized dealers.
Should your Platypus product be found defective under this warranty, Cascade Designs, at its discretion, will repair or replace it. We operate on a repair-first model.
What’s Not Covered Under Our Warranty?
Normal wear, puncture, abrasion, misuse, alteration and abuse are not covered. If your Platypus product has repairable damage or wear not covered by your warranty, Platypus may be able to complete the repair for a reasonable fee. It is important to remember that the manufacturer’s warranty is intended for manufacturer’s defect—not normal wear and tear that comes with use of the product.
Cascade Designs will not be liable for incidental or consequential damages. Some states or territories do not allow this exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitations may not apply.
How Do I Start the Warranty Process?
It’s important to us that we keep gear out of the landfill and living its best life with you! We've got an incredible team that will always try and repair your gear first.
With many items we can send you a replacement part and guide you through performing the repair at home, but in some cases, you'll have to send your gear in to us. When contacting us, please attach your proof of purchase and a detailed description of the issue. Photos are extremely useful because it helps us identify what model of Platypus product you have.
