"This valve cover is great, it reduces freezing and it keeps it clean when I put my pack on the ground."
"This really should be part of the original set up. Have used my playpus for years but always end up getting dirt around the bite valve when I put my rucksac down. So expensive as a separate item. It should be included."
"Used on last couple long hikes in the Utah Capitol Reef Park. Works as expected. Quality product. Great enhancement to the Big Zip Evo 3L water bladder."
"What a joy to finally have a bite valve cover that fits a Platypus and does exactly what it is supposed to do - keep the dirt out. It is easy to install, and to pop off and on for sips. It was reasonably priced and arrived quickly."
"The bite cover works perfectly. However, what I really like is the cut-off valve, which has prevented a lot of water spills when taking my backpack off and/or laying it down. Super upgrade with both."
"It des not stay shut. Pops open immediately."
"Good cover but I bought the wrong cover for the valve I have so it doesn't really fit"
"I put out alot of money for my platypus waterbladder a month ago and finally took it on my first hike the other week, almost immediately I found the bite valve getting dirt, dust and debris all over it. My friends who bought other brands all had covers come with theirs, but the platypus does not? Whats the purpose of selling this separately? I want to be a good customer and support the brand as I find my reservoir stellar, except for when its dusty and dirty which is often without the valve cover. Please Platypus, take the advice, bundle it with your bladders."
"I encountered two issues with the product. First, this caused the bite valve to leak, so the cover continues to slowly fill with water and then drips out. Second, installing the bite valve cover requires disconnecting the bite valve from the hose, which led to the whole bite valve ensemble popping off when being stored, a problem which I had not encountered in my two years of using the bladder."
"This should come with the bladder. After I saw this is sold separately, I returned my product and bought something comes with it. You are trying to make couple more bucks but you are loosing lots of customers. For us, it is not about couple dollars. It is important for me to shop somewhere respects me instead of trying to pull couple of dollars with every attachment."
