"Very excited for this upgrade. The head and foot ceiling are taller and held out more making it not feel like the tent is falling in on you. Love the new extra pockets. And the clothes line might be my favorite new part. Also yay. 8 stakes, not 7."
"I have many tents, from cottage brands like Durston and Tarptent to mainstream MSR, Big Agnes and Hilleberg. But I always come back to the Hubba Hubba. I brought the LT 1 last year and loved because it is light(ish) has lots of head room and storage pockets. Now I have the HD 1 and feel more protected, let's say, with the increased water resistance and higher denier fabrics. It's almost perfect in my book. Very comfortable with the rectangular shape and copious storage. Only one thing you need to do MSR. . . . . make it pitch fly first like Durtson, Hillebert, Tarpent etc. It just makes the whole tent setup easier and faster. . . . . . plus it's a big help in the rain, which is the primary reason for doing it."
"This is one of the best tents I’ve ever owned. The fact that it rides on my handles bars, can be set up in a matter of a few minutes, and genuinely meets all criteria for a normal tent is incredible! Looking at getting the two person in order to take my girlfriend out too."
"@ 3 lbs this is the most featured and weather proof one man tent I have ever owned. I’m using it for motorcycle & bicycle camping. Coupled with a Thermarest 20 degree Vesper quilt and a Thermarest Neo Air XTherm ,I have all my Bomber shelter and comfy sleeping kit for a meager 6 lbs. Throw in a MSR Reactor stove and pot and you have all the essentials for less than 8 lbs"
