"I setup my medium size map case with four #2 Nite-Ize carabiners to each corner and clipped them to a cargo net bungee. It’s perfect to preserve what’s inside from adverse weather conditions. Wind, rain, mist, snow these are the elements that can easily make a map unreadable. Prepare for the worst and experience the best. Happy with being able to read my map in extreme weather even brushing snow off with my mittens. Happy trails Winter Spring Summer or Fall. Big D"
"Very sturdy construction, fit my map and compass easily, and they were both easy to read through the clear plastic. The clear plastic is also. . . easily gripped. This was great for grabbing it from my backpack even in gloves, but also sometimes pulled out whatever was on the top layer too."
"I get these for our Crew leader on Philmont Treks. It keeps the Crew Leader Copy (a very important piece of paper) safe and dry. I know nothing better. More durable than a ziplock. Just ensure you have actually zipped it."
"Excellent"
"A great waterproof map case. I have a couple of these in different sizes. They work very well and keep the maps nice and dry. The D rings are convenient to hang off of packs or inside your canoe. The waterproof seal can be difficult to seal at time, but is very effective."
"Have two sizes of these, used for multiday ocean kayak as well as backcountry canoe trips with much success. Like the product, but would love to see improvements. The D-rings are fine, but would love to see more function built in from Seal Line. I added shock cord and toggles for quick on/off attachment, but would like to see some functional attachment options already included like some toggles or clips. The other improvement could be around how hard it is to seal the zipper end. We try to set up our maps to avoid having to get into the pouch, but sometimes it's inevitable. On wet cold trips with frozen fingers and sometimes gloved hands it takes forever to patiently attempt to re-seal the zipper. We often give up because our fingers can't take it anymore, and leave it dangling open, which introduces moisture into the pouch. A toggle to help seal the zipper, or a seal that performs better in cold conditions would be a major improvement. Thanks SealLine!"
"When coupled with suitable clips, easy to secure to deck lines and then view maps when paddling a sea kayak."
"I love the case, the large is much larger than expected, but that’s on me. Seal line always delivers and never disappoints"
"very difficult to close. I could not get it to close on a trip at all and we ended up flooding our map. When I got home, I had to really work the seal in order to get it to seal so now it works and I plan to leave it sealed for a while to stretch it open. I don't know if my case was a representative of other peoples experience or just a bad batch. But I lost a $20 because of the cases in the ability to be sealed. Not happy!"
