"Light weight and warm. Stayed nice and cozy at 30F in my base layer. Paired with Nemo Tensor All Season."
"Very confortable and warm"
"really wanted to like this quilt, but got no where near the 32F comfort rating. On a cool dry, 34F night with no wind, wearing thermal layer under my pants, wool sock with down booties, t-shirt, fleece and a jacket with a wool hat was still cold. Sleeping on an Xtherm pad (R=7. 1) had to pull out my "just in case" 55F down quilt to supplement. Real comfort rating is probably closer to 40F"
"The quilt is severely underfilled. Even after a replacement, which took ages, the quilt was still underfilled. I was cold at +10°C. Once the quilt got a little damp, the down started to stink horribly even after days of drying in the sun. Glad i got everything refunded."
"Amazing!!! Got it for a backpacking trip in the Rocky Mountains. This was my first time using a quilt, and I loved it! I can't go back to the traditional sleeping bag. The temperature at night dropped to the low 40s and I was sweating."
"I used this quilt on a 5-day backpacking trip in the Canadian Rockies where the night time temperatures were around 8-10C. This quilt has extremely high potential to become a go-to for backpacking, but I would not use it again with it's current construction. Pros: - Design: Very comfortable to sleep in and simulates the feel of a bed at home. The foot box over the sleeping pad is an interesting feature that contributes to this. Overall, the roominess makes it stand out from other quilts - love this! Improvement Recommendations: - Drafty, particularly in the area between the lower strap and the toe box. For me, this is right around where my knees are, so whenever I moved or if I was in a sleeping position where my legs were bent (which is basically all the time), this region would be open. The bag would benefit from a third strap to avoid the quilt lifting in this area. Or potentially making the sewn area of the toe box come up higher, or elastics...just something to avoid drafts. - Horizontal baffling: as many others have pointed out, the large horizontal baffling creates cold spots in the down. For me, the down definitely shifted to the bottom of the baffles, leaving the center cold. Thermarest seems to keep this baffling design on all their sleeping bags/ quilts, and I have no idea why they are holding on to it, since it is probably the primary complaint I see about their sleep systems (on YouTube, reddit, etc.). - COLD! Partially for the aforementioned reasons, this bag is way colder than the rating. I bought the -6C bag and used it at 8-10C wearing long sleeve/pant base layers; the comfort rating on the bag was 0C, but I was still a bit chilly. This is partially because of the gaps in the down. When I was sleeping on my side, the area where my hip pushed up against the bag was cold. I put my hand under that area to double check, and I could literally feel the cold seeping in, right at the center apex of the bag. - Cost: given the above grievances, the bag is absolutely not worth the current cost. A -6C corus is equivalent to a +10C bag elsewhere, many of which are cheaper. To summarize: - Please please change the large horizonal baffles. - Actually fill the bag sufficiently to meet the temperature rating advertised (I would pay current cost of $405 for this bag at 850 fill if that keeps weight down). - Consider an additional strap, or another way to minimize drafts at the knee area. I feel like if these were addressed, this quilt would be an uncontested knock out, especially for folks outside the US with fewer options. The design and comfortable cut of it are truly genius. I would not recommend purchasing this bag in it's current design, but am watching out for the Corus 2 :)"
"Excellent quilt. Warm and comfortable. Great for side sleepers. Compact and light for backpacking and wild camping. Great alternative to a sleeping bag."
"This is my new favorite quilt. Perfect for the shoulder seasons."
"Cosy and comfortable. Enjoying the light weight. Good combo with neoair pad"
"The down migrates from the center to the edges which can be seen by holding the quilt up to the light. More attachments along the edges would reduce the airflow between the quilt and the thermo pad / sheet liner. Your earlier model had a down filled perimeter tube that reduced the air flow at the edges."
