"I was glad to see I am not the only idot to melt the nesting cup. Thanks Cam. Now I find it impossible to get a replacement. As I was making coffee and had not had my coffee I think was the issue. The rest of the stove worked very well. It would be great if you made a nesting cup that did not melt."
"The Piezo lighter broke on my first real use of it at the start of a three day backpacking trip. I tested it at home before leaving and everything worked great, but apparently the ceramic lining on the lighting coil is very fragile. I ran out of matches by the second day and stupidly forgot a lighter so the stove became completely unusable. Had to eat cold dehydrated food the rest of the trip, which kinda ruined the trip experience. Going to return and give it one more shot, but if it breaks again I'm gonna have to switch (no pun intended) to something else."

"There's a fatal design flaw in the spherical bottom of the pot - condensation will accumulate and drip directly on the burner, extinguishing it. Heating up warm water, this is less of an issue, but if trying to melt snow you will be constantly pulling out a lighter and towel."
"You think you won't. You think you'll be on top of it. And then one time you'll forget, or it will be dark, and you'll put the pot on the stove with the cup attached. I'm here looking for a way to replace that cup, like so many others, but can't find one available nor is there chat support. Maybe I shouldn't bother, since I'm likely to melt it again, but was kinda hoping y'all had come up with a titanium replacement version."
"Great product! Previous jetboil user, but the fact that this stove is functional with both the canister it comes with and pots and pans, was an easy decision. Works great and is very lightweight. Definitely recommend"
"Great system! Just make sure the cup is removed before trying to use - I melted mine out of the gates"
"I’ve worked in the outdoor industry for many years. My passion for wilderness travel started in a canoe 40 years ago. I have seen the evolution of a lot of gear. The Switch is the stove I have been waiting for for a long time. I have been selling jetboil for years and just wasn’t satisfied with the overall build quality. The switch is an extremely durable, pragmatic and extremely effective stove. I have seen a few reviews and the only negatives that I have seen are baseless. I don’t count seconds and I don’t care about useless gadgets. I’ve always wanted something that was robust durable and efficient. This one checks all of the boxes. It is a complete Cook system that is very well thought out and with MSR’s long history of design evolution this one checks the box perfectly. Between wilderness canoe trips, kayak expeditions, backpacking and bike packing this is the perfect stove. Generally we move fast and light and for those times we want to get cooking some fancy food we just use an open fire. My favorite feature is the built-in retractable pot stands. I have made some incredible omelettes in my mini frying pan. I am finally retiring my original pocket rocket I bought a couple of decades ago which still works absolutely flawlessly. Proof is in the pudding. Doesn’t matter of fact everything that I’ve ever owned from MSR has been bombproof. Keep up the amazing design work and quality building MSR!"
"It’s lighter than my Reactor, which I love, but don’t need on solo ventures so the Switch is perfect for that. I tried using the Picket Rocket for that but it doesn’t boil enough water for my meals and coffee. So the Swich fills that niche nicely. It boils plenty of water fast, is light like the Pokect Rocket and is less affected by wind. My dream is that one day you make a Reactor Stove the size of the Switch 🤫"
